Mimerlaven
The old iron ore mine.
The last miners left Mimerlaven over thirty years ago and today the building stands silent and pale in the deep summer green of the forest. Yet inside you discover a cathedral of concrete, steel beams and girders. With its wide floors, skew stairs and small hollows, Mimerlaven is unique on the electronic music scene as a venue for electronica.
The abandoned machines from the age of heavy industry now adorn the concrete plateaus. The rusting profiles of their heavy bodies and the chains and hooks of the old gantry crane transform into lively scenery during light shows and visuals. Mimerlaven serves as a set for both poetry and Noize.

The gothic acoustics present a challenge to artists and audience alike. Due to its sound, light and the extravagance of its industrial decay, Mimerlaven is considered to be the best electronic venue in Scandinavia.
Mimerlaven, as the main venue of the festival, has received over 100 artists from 15 countries in the past six years.
