Material Fatigue: KP Transmission (RU)

Live concert

Born in Georgia in 1988, Karina Kazaryan spent her childhood in and heavily influenced by the suburbs of Siberia’s Omsk. Whether performing solo as KP Transmission or playing along with her sister Lucy and Diana in the noise rock band Fanny Kaplan, Karina’s hazy and grainy compositions sound murky and chthonic, containing a vague feeling of uneasiness. As part of Material Fatigue, KP Transmission presents a new live show, combining intermittent industrial rhythms and dark hypnotic synths, which might serve as a soundtrack for russian writer Andrei Platonov’s literary spaces of faraway steppes, construction sides and other heterotopias. Light design by Fabian Nyman.
