ABADIR is a music producer, sound designer, DJ and music critic born in Cairo, Egypt and based in Berlin, Germany. Part of renowned SVBKVLT label roster, ABADIR has participated in various festivals in Europe and the world. His artistic work varies between a large spectrum of styles, combining experimental, club and ambient music, while extending into academia and critical theory as well.

Being interested in human communication, ABADIR's art deals with themes inspired by fiction, memory and cultural artefacts. In Norberg, ABADIR will perform av live show for his latest album Ison released in 2023. In revisiting cultural surroundings for potential mutation, segments and field recordings from Coptic, Syriac, Maronite, Greek Orthodox and Catholic choirs are used to present his own vision of what can be described as fresh hymns, fictional chants, or parts of a contemporary Sunday mass.
