Code of conduct
Norbergfestival 2025 Code of Conduct
By attending Norbergfestival, you become part of a shared space built on respect, care, and inclusivity. Your enjoyment and safety matter, and we strive to create a festival culture that supports accessibility, collaborative learning, and community well-being. We uphold a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, oppression, and violence while encouraging solidarity, open dialogue, and mutual care.
Our Code of Conduct is communicated to the visitors, security, production team, artists and volunteers, who together create the NBF community. Our Safety Protocol will be available to read on the festival site for everyone interested.
Awareness & Support
Our Awareness Team is here to provide peer support and harm reduction, and to co-create a safer environment. If you feel uncomfortable, experience harassment, or just need to talk, find us at the Care-tent, roaming the festival grounds, calling our phone around the clock, or approach any festival staff member who will contact us immediately. In case of emergency, call 112.
Since we work from our limited perspectives and resources, we acknowledge that we can’t monitor the whole area and guarantee a safer space at all times for everyone. But we do take all concerns seriously, and we believe and stand with those affected by harassment, discrimination, or violence.
Consent & Respect
- Consent is key—always ask rather than assume. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Heavily intoxicated people cannot consent to sexual acts.
- Respect all identities—ask for pronouns, and be mindful of different cultural and social backgrounds.
- Be aware of your impact—take up space thoughtfully and respect others' boundaries.
Zero Tolerance for Discrimination & Violence
Norbergfestival does not tolerate:
- Racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, queerphobia, ageism, classism, hate symbols, or any form of discrimination.
- Psychological or physical violence, threats, or harassment.
Those who violate these guidelines may face confrontation, and/ or removal from the festival to ensure the safety of all attendees.
Collective Responsibility
- Listen & learn—if you receive feedback, reflect rather than react defensively.
- Be proactive—if you see someone in distress, offer help and alert the Awareness Team.
- Foster a culture of care—help create a welcoming environment for everyone.
Thank you for being part of this collaborative, respectful, and inclusive space. For any feedback or questions, feel free to contact us at awareness@norbergfestival.com.
