Stages
Norbergfestival unfolds primarily across four stages within the decommissioned Mimer mining complex, with accompanying events taking place throughout Norberg Municipality. Each space carries its own physical presence, sonic identity and way of listening.
Mimer

High above ground in the industrial skeleton of Mimerlaven, Mimer is reverberant, dark and otherworldly. Sound lingers in the vast architecture, light cuts through dust and metal, and the sense of scale shifts perception.
The program here leans toward ethereal, meditative and tension filled works. Ambient and experimental performances invite deep listening and often balance acoustic instrumentation with electronics. The audience spreads out across levels, experiencing the music alone yet together in a personal but shared sonic journey. It is less about collective release and more about immersion, a bodily and contemplative encounter with sound.
303

Outdoors and exposed to sky, wind and shifting light, 303 blends into the surrounding field and trees. It is intimate yet open, allowing free movement in, out and within. The intensity builds the deeper you move into the space.
Musically, 303 embraces high energy and playful abandon. Fast, fun and relentless sets shaped by DJ takeovers, rave collectives and a DIY spirit rooted in hardcore, gabber and trance. It is a space for dancing, talking and recharging, a collective energy boost under open skies where the social and the physical meet.
Kraftcentralen

Dense, hot and industrial, Kraftcentralen gathers the crowd onto one level in a tightly packed room. If Mimer leans toward the celestial, Kraftcentralen moves closer to the infernal.
Here the focus shifts toward live performance and spectacle. Genre hopping acts with raw edges, metallic textures and punk intensity fill the space. The experience is immediate and close. Energy builds steadily as night falls, drawing performers and audience into a shared and escalating immersion.
Krossverket

Underground and cave like, Krossverket is visceral and enclosed. The darkness is thick, the air heavy and the proximity intimate.
The music tends toward the intense and uncompromising. Noise, hard hitting sets and close up performances place artist and listener in the same charged space.
Other stages and events

In addition to the four main stages, Norbergfestival hosts performances, talks, installations and site specific works across Norberg Municipality. These events expand the festival beyond the core venues and invite audiences to experience sound and art in new contexts, both within and beyond the former mining structures.
