Beth von Undall
Beth von Undall (DK/DE) is an artist based in Berlin. Her work meditates on questions of mind and subjectivity as it relates to computational technologies. It takes form across a range of different media and juxtaposes manual hand-making techniques with automated and technical processes.
Her work often includes direct use of interactive technologies, computer simulations and programming, video and sound, as well as more classical graphical and sculptural techniques. von Undall’s work draws on formal traditions of minimalism and post-minimalism as well as more recent relational aesthetics. She emphasizes embodiment and sexuality in relation to the clean logics of computational systems and the taxonomic tendencies of information technologies.
von Undall has exhibited across Germany, Scandinavia and the UK including at the annual exhibition ROHKUNSTBAU (DE) as well as Künstlerhaus Bethanien (DE) and Kunsthal Charlottenborg (DK).
