duoggu dággu – Tanja Andersson & Ánndaris Rimpi
Live
An immersive movement and sound performance by composer Ánndaris Rimpi and dance artist Tanja Andersson.

duoggu dággu’ is a Sámi expression describing a movement direction, meaning "here and there”. Listening and sensing—rooted in Sámi practice and philosophy—form the foundation of the work. Movement and direction of sound is displaced, shifted, and activated through and with dance. Eight speakers surround the audience and stage. Together with a lasso and an orchestra of percolators, the room is filled with swinging, rotating, pendulum spirals and the aroma of coffee. Time moves in circles, like the reindeer and the brass ring.

Furthermore, he has composed for Carte Blanche (NO), Det Norske Teatret, Nasjonalmuseet (NO), Museum of World Culture (SE), Hålogaland Teater (NO), Venice Biennale, Public Art Agency Sweden (SE), Documenta14 (DE/GR), Teater Jaguar, Giron Sámi Teáhter, and the dance company Spinn. She primarily works collectively with other artists and has a background in sound design and music production. Likewise, she has choreographed for, and performed, at Atalante, MDT, Dansstationen, the Swedish Performing Arts Biennale, Borås City Theatre and Dansens Hus. As a dancer, she has recently worked with Dansinitiativet, MOA Kompani, and choreographer Karolin Kent, as well as creating solo works for art galleries and festivals.
