Erik Klinga (Norbergs Kyrka)

Erik Klinga (b.1991), originally from Sandviken and now situated in Malmö & Copenhagen. He has studied electro-acoustic composition at KMH and is currently studying for a Master's in Copenhagen at RMC, focusing on composition within the Music Creation course.

Klinga is composing electronic music using Buchla modular synthesis as the main source for sounding material. His practice involves connecting sounding elements from field recordings, Buchla and acoustic instruments.

In Norbergs Kyrka, Erik Klinga will perform a concert based on material composed during his residency at Malmö Arts Museum where he worked closely with exploring Genarpsorgeln, one of the oldest playable organs in Northern Europe, bringing the material in to the studio environment and augmenting it using Buchla 200 and field recordings.
