Heva Vaupel

With a background in sound design, production and DJing, alongside an extensive

catalogue of ambient noise cassette releases, Heva Vaupel is an established

presence in the Copenhagen underground. Her EP Yearner Music (Real Live, 2026) merges classic black metal tropes with contemporary electronic elements, channeling Heva’s distinct sensibility for production and noise into something both romantic and brutal. It reflects a more focused musical direction, drawing on her roots in metal and her experimental approach to sound. Blast beats, distorted tremolo guitars and heavy sub bass collide with lyrics steeped in love and longing.

In doing so, Heva carves out space for queer expression within a field often marked by stagnation, seclusion and male dominance. Her live performances open an expansive realm of sensuality and romance—intense, vulnerable and unapologetically expressive.
