Johan Lundberg
Johan Lundberg is a guitarist and composer born in Umeå. His practice is centered around live performances where the electric guitar and electronics are treated as an expansive electromechanical space that gives rise to a state of heightened listening with a focus on harmonics, deliberate intonation, microsound and feedback. He mainly concentrates on multi- channel and spatial performances where composed structures, tuning and modular systems are explored through intuitive improvisation.
He holds a BA in guitar from the Academy of Music in Malmö and is currently studying his MA in composition with a focus on electroacoustic music at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. In addition to performing as a soloist, he is an active collaborator and works in many musical and interdisciplinary artistic contexts in Sweden and abroad.
