Marta Forsberg + Sindri Runudde
Marta Forsberg is a composer, sound artist and musician working in the field of installation art, performance and electronic music. Her practice spans across sounds design, composition for ensembles, music for dance, sound and light installations, as well as working in different artistic research projects. She had releases in the last few years via labels such as Warm Winters Ltd., XKatedral, Superpang, and Thanatosis.
For the performance at Norbergfestival, Marta will be joined on stage by dancer and choreographer Sindri Runudde, her long-time collaborator. While Marta has previously composed music for several of Sindri's performances, this time Sindri will dance to Marta's music. The show will feature a mix of her latest release, "Sjunger för varandra," which came out earlier this year on Warm Winters Ltd., and new, unreleased material recorded in the Electroacoustic studio at the Akademie der Künste in Berlin. During her residency, Marta explored the unique East German instrument, the Subharchord, and worked with singers Rupert Enticknap and Ella Olivia Bender, as well as poet and performer Agnes Schneidewind. She combined their voices with the distinctive sound of the vocaloid, creating a duet between human and synthetic voices that results in a sonic landscape both intimate and otherworldly. With Sindri joining her on stage, Marta aims to embody and deepen the musical narrative aspects of her work. This marks their first performance together as a duo.
Marta Forsberg is presented as part of Elektronmusikstudion 60 years jubilee showcase.
