Otso Aho

Otso Aho is a sound artist and electro-acoustic composer based in Helsinki, Finland. Their practice revolves around the use of dynamically evolving timbral sonorities with a special interest in generative and chaotic operations and large-scale spatial sound that explores space in all its modes. Otso is inspired by the concept of ‘fuzzy space’ – the lack of a unified experience of what space and spatiality is for each individual. Otso frequently employs SuperCollider, vintage electronic synthesizer designs, feedback and toys in their works, driven by the lust of finding new ways to connect, create and ‘misuse’ technology. 

At Norbergfestival Otso will present a specially composed live multichannel piece utilizing all 18 available channels in Mimerlaven for an Ambisonics experience beyond the ordinary.
