Tamara Alegre (she/they) works with dance and choreography. Born in Gran Canaria, she studied European Business and Psychology and worked as an underground music curator, dj and tour manager until 2016. Their research revolves around sensual embodiments, fictions on sexuality/sexual organs and liminal physical states as choreographic tools. Structurally, she/they aims for change in the European field of dance, which is still very white/male in Europe today – a cause that is only possible in close alliance and thanks to the contributions of her collaborators and friends.
NX FUIMO by Tamara Alegre with Marga Alfeirão, Cuba and Malik Nashad Sharpe
NX FUIMO is a choreographic spell, a trajectory, a journey through thresholds of alienation and resistance with a powerful and intense soundtrack by Dinamarca, Talisto, Bonaventure et GOLCE,NX FUIMOis the second dancepiece of a triptych initiated with FIEBRE (2018), which experiments with embodiment practices around the sexual organs, the idea of erotic union, the cohabitation of complex emotions and self-pleasure.
in spanish slang nos fuimos is an expression which announces that the departure has already started or that we have gone beyond. it is a strive for a radical fictionalization of bodies. Imagine: one and the same channel connects all the vital functions related to the lower abdomen and the cloaca, the sexual organ from which the erotic force is drawn. within these body-fictions, the dances are embodied in individuality and meet synchrony in the group and become a purge, cleansing and space for mutual support.
NX FUIMO opens a liminal space-time where connection and contamination triumphs through vibrations, wind and emotions.
NX FUIMO is based on the importance of teamwork and mutual aid. it questions and disrupts structural patterns linked to the accessibility and visibility of the singular author. the work also has a strong inspiration and connection to Dancehall and aims to make different types of connections/ exchanges with that dance scene/culture.** we have voluntarily removed all capital letters from this text, following afro-feminist literary currents (bell hooks, tatiana nascimento), in order to continue writing a non-hierarchical and non-obedient language.concept & choreography: Tamara Alegre.

Presented in collaboration with My Wild Flag
My Wild Flag is an international dance and performance festival in Stockholm. Consisting of local and international acts and scenarios that propose contemporary choreographic and artistic work. Bringing communities together, adding a DIY-spirit and joining in social choreographies as well as works devoted to the stage. The festival is initiated by Karina Sarkissova and Pontus Pettersson, who lacked a queer platform for dance and performance. Since 2017, MWFs intention is to affect the Stockholm scene in a long-term perspective regarding discourse, representation and expanded notions of choreography. MWF joins forces with Norbergsfestival 2022 and proposes a shared curatorial perspective at Risbergs Verkstad.
