Type1 is an Estonian-born, Berlin-based producer, DJ and promoter. At the heart of every one of his compositions lies a forward-thinking vision, meticulous craftsmanship and a narrative woven through sound design.

Type1's tracks draw from a wide, ever-evolving palette: Latin or African rhythms might drive one piece, while another might unfold as a drum-less expanse shaped by emotional, nostalgia-tinged synth lines. Eerie, otherworldly textures often surface, and strange monologues, dug up from old archival recordings, puncture the sonic fabric, adding a surreal, narrative-like layer across moods and styles. Some works focus on subtle shifts within a single emotional tone, haunting melodies, shifting micro-rhythms or intricate textural details, while others lean into relentless, percussion-driven momentum. Though these elements aren’t exhaustive, they reveal the common thread: a commitment to immersive, coherent sonic storytelling.

His exploratory sound-installation debut at Dreamscape Festival 2025, sonically adventurous and foundational to his growth, sparked a new interest in the world of sound art, specifically in spatial audio and the desire to weave ideas from biology, ecology, and other scientific fields into future sound installation projects.
