Lyrik i samklang: Palestine-Lebanon-Sweden

Raed Ishniowra is a Palestinian writer from Gaza, born in 1987. He holds a BA in Arabic Language and Media Studies and is considered one of the prominent cultural and creative voices in Gaza. His work combines journalism, literature, screenwriting, and cultural media production.

He has worked with local and Arab media outlets, covering political, social, and humanitarian realities in Gaza, with a focus on everyday life under siege and war. In addition to journalism, he writes poetry, fiction, and screenplays, and has developed documentary and narrative film projects centered on the Palestinian experience.

Raed is the founder and editor-in-chief of 28 Magazine, a cultural literary platform dedicated to Palestinian creativity. During the war on Gaza, he documented testimonies and literary texts capturing fear, survival, and the fragile persistence of hope.

Since Raed cannot leave Gaza, recordings of his poetry will be incorporated by Muqata’a into his live set as part of this year's literature program at the intersection of text and sound Lyrik i Samklang: Palestine-Lebanon-Sweden.
Lyrik i samklang: Palestine-Lebanon-Sweden is presented with support from the Swedish Arts Council and Svenska Akademien.
