Lyrik i samklang: Palestine-Lebanon-Sweden
Lyrik i samklang is our annual program sitting at the intersection of text and sound. This year, the program explores the connections and associations between musical expressions and voices from Palestine, Lebanon and their diasporas. We invite you to participate in a dialog between played tones, uttered words and the semantic force that takes place between them.
The program merges live readings by poets Bissan Edwan and Sahar Moussa, a concert by Youmna Saba, and, two live sets by Brenda El Rayes and Muqata’a who will incorporate texts by poets Nima Hasan and Raed Shniowrah, who, unable to leave Gaza, have sent recordings of their readings.
Lyrik i samklang: Palestine-Lebanon-Sweden is presented with support from the Swedish Arts Council and Svenska Akademien.
